Description

This Chinese cooking wine is infused with shallot and ginger. It’s rich and aromatic with notes of allium sweetness and ginger zing. It’s perfect for all kinds of Asian recipes, from stir fries to noodle soups. 

Cooking wine adds depth to marinades and braised dishes. Add a splash to your pan to deglaze it after browning meat. The sweet-sharp tang brings simple recipes to life.

Try Kwoklyn Wan’s recipe for ginger soy chicken. You can use this cooking wine as a substitute for shaoxing wine.

The flavours of ginger and shallot work beautifully with seafood. Use this cooking wine to flavour steamed fish, scallops and more.

You can also use cooking wine to velvet chicken before stir frying. Mix the meat with a spoonful of wine and a little cornflour. This process locks in moisture and keeps the chicken juicy and tender. It also works with thinly sliced beef.
