The ProQ cold smoking and curing kit lets you make your own smoked streaky or back bacon at home. The kit contains the following: 

  • ProQ Original Cold Smoke Generator – this nifty smoker produces ten hours of aromatic smoke. As well as using for bacon, try cold smoking salmon, cheese and tofu
  • ProQ Oak Premium Smoking Wood Dust – for a strong, smoky aroma
  • 3 Flavours of Bacon Cure
  • Meat Hooks x2
  • Resealable Curing Bags x3
  • Muslin Cloth
  • Full Curing and Smoking Instructions

With this kit, all you need to do is provide your own pork and a container to smoke it in. The set contains a trio of bacon cure mix – sage and thyme, rosemary and thyme or traditional sweetcure – try all three to discover which you love best.

Once you’ve smoked your own bacon, sandwich the fried bacon between floury rolls for the ultimate breakfast sarnie, serve with fried eggs or add the rashers to the top of sweetcorn fritters. This kit makes a wonderful gift for adventurous cooks, or treat yourself to one and make cold smoking your next weekend project.
