Use the komorebi matcha tea bowl to conduct a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Komorebi is a Japanese word meaning ‘sunlight filtering through trees’, a vision conjured up by the delicate interplay between the different shades of green and golden sandy glazes.

The base is unglazed to help you grip the base of the bowl as you drink. The komorebi matcha tea bowl is designed to fit a matcha tea whisk, so you can whisk the tea directly in the bowl.

The matcha tea bowl is a lovely way to serve your morning cup of matcha. Wrap your hands around the sides while warm and enjoy a comforting drink.

In a Japanese tea ceremony, matcha tea is prepared in bowls like this one and served to guests in a graceful, carefully choreographed ritual. The komorebi matcha tea bowl is just the right size for conducting a tea ceremony for one or two guests.

For a truly authentic experience, conduct your tea ceremony with a matcha tea whisk to perfectly froth your tea.
