Description

Brown cane sugar is an unrefined sweetener for baking and desserts. It’s typical of Central and Latin America where it’s known as panela. Organic and minimally processed, brown cane sugar is ideal for baking. It has a mellow sweetness and an aroma like malt or caramel. 

Use brown cane sugar to make biscuits, muffins and other sweet treats. It’s particularly delicious in dense fruit cakes and chocolate-based desserts. You can use it in place of white sugar to sweeten hot drinks or make sugar syrup.

Brown cane sugar is great for making sweet sauces and syrups. Use it to make caramel sauce or a sticky syrup to drizzle over doughnuts and buñuelos.
