Galantino’s Puglian olive oil with orange in a terracotta bottle is a blend of their peppery Medio olive oil and the sweet tang of orange. The zesty, citrusy notes of orange contrast against the strong and slightly bitter Italian olive flavour for an oil that works with sweet, savoury and herbal ingredients. It comes in a hand-painted terracotta bottle that makes a beautiful addition to your kitchen decor.

Galantino have used the same traditional cold-pressing methods for generations, using olives from one of Italy’s oldest olive growing regions. The Medio is a fruity olive oil with a mellow and balanced aroma, with a smooth creamy taste at first but finishes with a powerful peppery kick.

Use this olive oil with orange in a citrus olive oil cake for a beautifully moist texture and rich flavour. The citrus tang also works beautifully in dressings or vinaigrettes – pair with your favourite balsamic and toss through fresh rocket leaves or a sweet and salty Greek salad.

How to open

These ceramic bottles are corked and can be opened with a traditional T-shaped wine corkscrew. The bottle’s cork is much shorter than a regular wine bottle, so only a couple of screws are needed to get a firm grip. Pull out in a controlled and slow movement. If the cork breaks, a Cork Stopper will allow for a controlled pour and to preserve the oil.
